Dr. Sarah Dirks is a family chiropractor who works with growing families to provide pre and postnatal, pediatric, and wellness care. As a mother herself, Dr. Dirks understands the joys and struggles related to pregnancy, delivery and the transition into motherhood. Over the past 10 years, she has gained the respect and appreciation of many families and fellow chiropractors by providing outstanding chiropractic care to mothers and their children. Dr. Dirks received her doctorate of chiropractic from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic at the Southern California University of Health Sciences, for which she has been an assistant professor teaching chiropractic technique courses for the past 5 years. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is certified in Webster Technique, a diversified method that reduces the effect of sacral and sacroiliac subluxations while improving the neuro-biomechanical function of the pelvis. Dr. Dirks is also certified in Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT), a low force technique that utilizes a manually assisted adjusting instrument to correct subluxations, improving the function of the spine and nervous system.

Testimonials

“I can confidently say that Dr. Dirks is the best doctor I’ve ever had, chiropractor or MD! I have a pretty extensive health history and of all the doctors I have seen she has the best bedside manner, has been the most attentive and is so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! I had not had any chiropractic care during my pregnancy with my son, but after my experience with Dr. Dirks I knew I wanted chiropractic care during my pregnancy with my daughter. Dr. Dirks’ treatment, adjustments, and nutritional advice during my pregnancy not only made my pregnancy symptoms and hyperemesis gravidarum more manageable, but my labor and delivery were absolutely incredible, everything went so smoothly and naturally, and it was an amazing experience!

There really was a night and day difference between the delivery of my first and second born children, and the only difference was Dr. Dirks’ chiropractic care! She also treated me and my daughter postpartum, she helped me heal so smoothly and her postpartum adjustments helped me to recover so much more quickly. She also gave me excellent advice on breast feeding and increasing my milk supply that was so helpful!

Her checkups and adjustments for my daughter helped her to sleep better and be way less colicky; another thing that was so different than my experience with my first born. There is no doctor I would recommend more than Dr. Dirks, especially to mother’s seeking prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum care, she truly is the very best of the best!!” - Ariel

“I’ve seen chiropractors my entire life and have suffered from back pain due to numerous injuries/car accidents. Seeing a new chiropractor for the first time is always nerve racking for me since I experience so much pain. Since my very first appointment with Dr. Dirks, I felt at ease, validated and that she genuinely cared about getting me out of pain and teaching me exercises to help me do so.

After getting pregnant, I was incredibly nervous that I would be in horrible back pain but not under Dr. Dirks’ care! I saw her consistently throughout my pregnancy and was nearly pain free. I can’t express how much she helped me. I also had a difficult labor and delivery which resulted in my baby not being able to turn his head in one direction. Dr. Dirks was able to treat me and my baby, alleviating both our pain. She then saw us both consistently postpartum which in turn helped my breastfeeding relationship. I can’t recommend Dr. Dirks enough. She is kind, patient, gentle, able to adapt to your needs and truly empathetic.”
